Professional Guide Services

Lost River Outfitters offers a variety of guide services. Our guided trips combine education and excitement for a memorable outdoor experience. We offer adventures not only in the Sun Valley area, but also in Yellowstone National Park . Our guides have a professional working knowledge of our guide waters and are all very patient and willing to help you with any specific need that might arise. We are licensed to guide year- round on many of the waters in the Sun Valley / Ketchum area. We offer ½ day or evening trips, 3/4 day and full day trips. Multi day trips are available for steelhead, Yellowstone, and high mountain lakes. Contact Us!

Cancelation Policy: 

We understand that problems arise that might make it impossible for you to take your trip, but we need as much notice as possible to be fair to our guides and to be able to fill your spot. Local one day trips: 24 hr cancelation no charge, less than 24 hrs $100, day of trip or no show full price Yellowstone, steelhead lodge, or backpacking, or bird hunting: one week prior full price Please understand that lodging in YNP or drop camps cannot be canceled unless we fill your spot Any multi day trips one week cancelation required. 
Guide Trip Rates:
 
½ day or evening trip: 4 hours $400 
• 1 or 2 anglers, lunch $15/person 
• Where: Local Wood River trip only! 

¾ day or evening Silver Creek trip : 6 hours $ 475.00
• 1 or 2 anglers, lunch $15/person 
• Where: Big Wood, Silver Creek, or Copper Basin only 

Full day : 8 hours $ 600..00 
• 1 or 2 anglers includes lunch 
• Where: Big Wood, Silver Creek, Lower Lost, Copper Basin, Little Wood

Kids fishing Camp : 4 hours $220/1 or 2 children , $110 each for 3-4 children
• Includes all gear, no food , max 4 
• Where: Gaver Lagoon or Big Wood only...Mon-Fri only March 15-Aug 24
special weekend camps available with 4 advance sign-ups

Day hikes: $ 600.00 
• 1-3 clients, lunch included , additional guests @125 each

Backpacking or car camping hiking trips: $ 650.00 
• 1-3 clients lunch included , additioanl guests $125 each up to 4, second guide needed 5 or more
• Breakfast +lunch can be supplied (price depends on menu)
• A drop camp can be arranged for backpacking trips at an additional charge 

Big Wood Winter trip :$450.00 
• Rentals incl., lunch $20/person

Additional Information and Fees

3rd person charge fishing trips $ 125.00 (3 person max/guide)  

4th person charge hiking trips only: $125.00 (4 clients/guide max) 

Private Lower Lost water rod fee: $85.00/client must be guided! 

Steelhead and Silver Creek trips (2 clients/guide max) 

Guide trip rental packages: $35.00/person

1 hour private casting instruction: $40.00/hour 

All guide trips include transport and flies. Rod, reel, boot , and wader rentals are separate. Clients must hold a current Idaho fishing/hunting license. Our guides pride themselves in providing you a home-made streamside lunch. Please be sure to communicate any food allergies or dislikes you might have, so that we can be sure to make your lunch as enjoyable as the rest of your trip. Please also communicate with your guide if you have any other medical conditions, such as bee allergies, and if you carry an epi pen.
